The 2015 Emtec Deer Park Masters tees off in Livingston on the 4th and 5th of August.

Glasgow-based building services firm Emtec have announced they are gold sponsors of the event once again, having supported the Masters for the past four years with both Silver and Gold Sponsorship. Organisers and backers of the tournament, the Fife-based Muir Group (owners of Deer Park Golf & Country Club) are hopeful three-times winner Greg Hutcheon will compete and try to defend the title he won last year.

Alan Muir, Business Development Director for Muir Construction said, “Another Deer Park Masters approaches, and we are very excited and pleased to be laying on this event for the 12th year running. Greg Hutcheon is a professional who is doing very well indeed, and he has been a worthy winner here at Deer Park on three occasions now. We have seen him progress his golf to play on the European Tour and we really appreciate it when he returns to Deer Park to entertain us once again at the Masters. We are hoping he can fit the event into his busy schedule.

“We also want to thank our Gold Sponsors, Emtec, who have shown us terrific support over the past few years. Despite the construction industry facing bruising times over the past eight or nine years we have always had strong support from the sector in the Deer Park Masters, with many firms represented with teams playing in the pro-am year after year. We know that they enjoy the Masters for its two days of high quality golf, food and hospitality, but the event is undoubtedly Scotland’s leading business networking pro-am event.”

The Deer Park Masters was conceived as a means of supporting the club professionals of Scotland. At the same time, the pro-am tournament, which sees both a pro-am team competition on day one, and a contest strictly between the club professionals on day two, enables amateur golfers to gain valuable insight into the game they love by playing with 50 leading professionals from all over Scotland.
