BAM is inviting local contractors and suppliers to breakfast on 14 August, so that they can find out about opportunities to work on the prestigious V&A at Dundee Museum.
The BAM team will be joined by some of the main subcontractors already working on site. “We want to meet local businesses in person to discuss the V&A Dundee programme and subcontractor package,” said BAM Construction Manager Malcolm Boyd.
Deputy convener of Policy and Resources, Councillor Willie Sawers added, “This is an excellent opportunity for local businesses to see what opportunities are available in the construction of the magnificent V&A Dundee building. We are very keen that the construction of this world class building has as wide an economic impact locally as possible.
“This project will deliver jobs for the local area, including modern apprenticeships for young people. I am sure that many Dundee companies will be interested in attending this event.”
The free event, will run from 8.30 am to 10.30 am at the Invercarse Hotel, 371 Perth Road, Dundee DD2 1PG
It is one of the ways BAM, in partnership with Dundee City Council and V&A at Dundee, is engaging with local businesses to create as much local economic benefit as possible from the construction phase of the project.
Interested businesses are welcome to turn up on the day. If you are unable to attend, but would still like to register interest in the project, please contact Claire Anderson canderson@bam.co.uk
