Electrical contracting servicing company Campbell & Kennedy (C&K) have promoted Tom Carnie to Technical Director.
Tom, who has been with the company for five years, has also agreed to join the Board of Directors.
With over 35 years experience in the satellite/aerial industry, Tom was influential in setting industry standards and system developments from the early days of satellite television.
Previous roles including heading up the technical departments of Grundig and Astra at the inception of satellite broadcasting.

This new appointment will contribute towards the company’s Growth Strategy, which should see the company’s turnover increase from £12M to £15M by the end of 2015. Tom will also be involved in improving the operational side of the business as the company continues to expand and work towards ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

Tom has a wealth of experience and his technical knowledge is second-to-none, so has a firm grasp on what’s required from our engineering teams. As we take on larger and larger projects it’s vital that we have a director at board level with a full understanding of the industry and technical side of our business.”
Campbell & Kennedy has four divisions including electrical contracting services, fire safety services and green energy installation services, as well as their digital TV sector (technology solutions).
The company was awarded Electrical Contractor of the Year in the SELECT Industry Awards 2014, winning the Delivery of Best Customer Service Award and being highly commended for the Best Environmental Project also.
