THREE companies in Scotland have received recognition for their health and safety practices in this year’s Safety in Roofing Awards.
The scheme was started to promote the positive attitude to health and safety by NFRC firms. Trade members are encouraged to enter information collected during the year on their health and safety training and accident statistics. The awards are then externally marked by an independent panel of experts and a number of the entries are also randomly audited.
Winners are presented with gold, silver or bronze awards at their regional AGMs which take place this month. The best entries are then given further recognition at the Roofing Awards, the annual industry-wide competition covering the full spectrum of roofing disciplines. These are members with the highest percentage scored nationally within the slating and tiling, sheeting and cladding and flat roofing disciplines.
In Scotland this year, Gold McKay Roofing Ltd and Weatherproofing Advisors Ltd were awarded gold and Forster Roofing Services Ltd took silver.
