EDDIE Robertson has been appointed regional director to head up Morrison Construction’s central Scotland building business and lead its expansion plans.
Robertson has 25 years experience and has recently had responsibility for two PPP schools projects for West Lothian Council and a number of health care projects.
Group managing director Ken Gillespie said Morrison will be “an excellent addition” to the team. “He is highly respected within the professional community and has a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges in Scotland, and the needs of our clients. His appointment reinforces our strategy for continual development.”
Morrison, part of the Galliford Try Group, is currently involved in a number of projects across the central belt. It is a tier one contractor to Hub South East and Hub South West Scotland and a delivery partner on NHS Frameworks Scotland.
Robertson commented: “I’m really looking forward to the challenge and opportunity of continuing Morrison Construction’s remarkable success in recent years which has seen the company grow to become one of the largest contractors in the UK.”
