Clark Contracts Academy continues to address sector skills gaps

Clark Contracts trainees

CLARK Contracts has announced it has strengthened its long-running academy programme with the recruitment of 15 new trainees and apprentices so far in 2026.

Established in 2006, the Clark Contracts Academy was created to provide structured routes into the construction industry, supporting trainees and apprentices as they build careers through practical experience, mentoring and recognised qualifications.

This year’s intake includes trainee quantity surveyors and site managers, alongside apprentices in office-based roles across administration, maintenance, estimating and planning.

Each trainee will receive support from a dedicated mentor while completing qualifications through modern apprenticeship, graduate apprenticeship, HNC and honours degree pathways.

The success of the academy has also been recognised, with Clark Contracts winning the Training Excellence Award at the Construction News Awards and being shortlisted for two further national industry awards this year.

MD Gordon Cunningham said, “Our academy continues to play an important role in bringing new people into the industry, helping address skills shortages while ensuring the next generation of construction professionals receive the guidance, training and opportunities they need to build successful careers. We are pleased to welcome this year’s trainees and apprentices and look forward to supporting their continued progress and development as they gain experience across the business.”

Clark Contracts is currently recruiting for two modern apprentices to join its academy in IT and marketing and business development. Applications can be made via the current vacancies section of the company’s website.
