A golf resort located next to Gleneagles and described by its architect as ‘the best inland site I’ve ever seen for a golf course’, has been put up for sale.
Offers are being invited for gWest in Blackford, Perth and Kinross, which extends to around 639 acres and includes an 18-hole, David McLay Kidd-designed championship golf course and clubhouse shell, inspired by 18th-century Scottish architect Colen Campbell.
Knight Frank has been instructed to find a buyer for the estate, which has planning consent for up to 170 residential plots, a hotel and spa, leisure and entertainment facilities, and staff accommodation. gWest sits to the west of Gleneagles and between Perth and Stirling. The golf course was originally completed in 2009, but few have had the opportunity to play it.
