Kier hails ‘strong’ performance as revenue and profits increase

KIER has posted a 7.5% increase in revenue to £4.393 million for the year ended June 2026. Adjusted operating profit is up 6.7% to £169.8 million, while the order book has grown by 8.2%.

The group has announced updated growth targets and a new strategic framework designed to deliver annual double-digit growth in earnings per share and an average net cash position of over £200 million by 2029. Kier explained the plan is built around three strategic priorities of growth, resilience and performance.

The water, energy, defence and healthcare sectors are expected to contribute significant revenue growth over the next three years for Kier.

The group currently operates on more than 120 frameworks across diverse sectors, providing access to approximately £200 billion of future opportunities. Kier added that its repeat business rate exceeds 90%.

We continued to strengthen the group’s financial profile, reaching an average net cash position for the first time in over a decade, a significant milestone to build upon.
