BARRATT and David Wilson Homes North Scotland has raised over £14,000 for Cornerstone at its annual charity golf day.
Over 80 golfers took part in the event, held at Oldmeldrum Golf Club in Aberdeenshire, including employees, contractors, suppliers and friends of the housebuilding business.
Cornerstone provides care services to adults and young people with additional support needs. The organisation was selected by the housebuilder’s North Scotland division as its Charity of the Year for 2026.
All proceeds from the day will go towards Cornerstone’s work within the local community with a raffle, auction and hole sponsorship all contributing towards the total.
Kevin Urquhart, construction director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes North Scotland and co-organiser of the golf day, said, “A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making our annual golf day such a success. The generosity shown throughout the event was fantastic and will make a big difference to those supported by Cornerstone. We even managed to increase our fundraising total from last year’s golf day by £2,000 – a reflection of the support we received.
“At Barratt and David Wilson Homes, giving back to the communities where we live and work has always been a priority for us. Cornerstone provides vital services to people who need them most, and we are proud to support the charity’s work. This partnership reflects our commitment to making a meaningful, lasting difference in the areas in which we operate.”
So far this year, the housebuilder’s North Scotland division has taken part in a range of fundraising activities. Seven members of staff participated in the Aberdeen Kiltwalk, while six colleagues took on the Beast Race. The team has also held a number of bake sales in the office. Upcoming events include the housebuilder’s annual fundraising charity dinner.
