CLARK Contracts has announced that the firm’s delivery of The Pepper Mill student accommodation development in Edinburgh has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Halls of Residence Award at the Student Accommodation Awards 2026.
The awards, hosted by Property Week, recognise excellence across the student accommodation sector.
Located on Dunedin Street in Edinburgh’s Canonmills area, The Peppr Mill was delivered for Danehurst Developments and opened in September 2025. The purpose-built student accommodation scheme provides 155 studio apartments, each designed to support privacy, comfort and independent living, alongside communal spaces that encourage students to study, socialise and connect.
Facilities include a residents’ lounge, games room, bookable kitchen and dining area, cinema room, gym, co-working space, group study rooms, library, landscaped gardens, and outdoor seating.
The Pepper Mill has achieved an EPC A rating, with BREEAM certification also underway. Sustainable travel is supported through cycle storage, free bike use, and a Ridacard travel incentive for residents.

Winners will be announced on 1st December at a ceremony in London.
