THE Edinburgh Boiler Company (EBC) is hoping for a double success at this year’s H&V News Awards.
The firm has been nominated for 2026 Contractor of the Year, with judges looking to reward continuous exemplary customer service and outstanding project management. EBC has also been shortlisted for Team of the Year, which relates to its team delivering the Scottish Government’s Warmworks framework and the ‘consistently high standards’ delivered for customers.
MD Dougie Bell said the nominations wouldn’t have been possible without the culture embedded within the business.
“To be shortlisted in two categories at this year’s H&V News Awards is something we are incredibly proud of at The Edinburgh Boiler Company,” he said. “Recognition like this means a great deal to me personally as Managing Director, but more importantly, it is recognition of the people behind EBC and the standards they deliver every single day.
“We continue to grow, evolve and push ourselves forward but one thing that will never change is our commitment to delivering an exceptional standard of workmanship and customer service. We drive high standards every day but ultimately it is our people who deliver them.
“Awards and shortlistings are a by-product of getting those fundamentals right consistently. Every member of our team has an influence on the reputation we have built.
“I am particularly proud to see our Warmworks team shortlisted for Team of the Year. This nomination was submitted specifically to recognise the exceptional work carried out by this team on the Warmworks framework. The work they undertake goes far beyond simply delivering installations. They are working in customers’ homes, often supporting households where the quality of the service, communication and care they receive really matters.
“The professionalism, compassion and attention to detail our Warmworks team demonstrate every day is exactly why we put them forward and I’m delighted they are being recognised on the national stage.”
Winners will be announced in London in November.
