Donaldson Timber Systems confirms partnership with HebHomes

Donaldson Timber Systems and HebHomes partnership

DONALDSON Timber Systems has partnered with architect-designed home supplier HebHomes to provide the timber frame structure for their homes throughout the UK, Ireland and overseas.

Donaldson revealed it has developed a closed panel system using its Sigma II technology and insulated roof cassettes to achieve u-values of 0.15 W/m²K as standard.

The business has worked with the team at HebHouse to refine and develop construction details to suit the specific needs of HebHome customers. With many buildings described as being in remote or technically challenging locations, the aim was to improve buildability and logistics for difficult sites while still achieving the design intent.

Weather conditions can impact the build programme for homes on rural or exposed sites. Donaldson said the precision and offsite manufacture of the Sigma II system has reduced time on site, improved predictability, and enhanced overall build quality.

Five projects have been completed to date, in northern England, Oban, Scarfskerry, Glenelg and Westhill, with more planned for later in the year.

Gary Shaw, head of key accounts (north) at Donaldson Timber Systems, said, “This is an exciting partnership for Donaldson Timber Systems in a completely new market for us. HebHomes is a fantastic business, offering a high-end, energy-efficient product that we’re proud to put our name to. Our Sigma II Build System aligns perfectly with HebHomes’ design-led approach, delivering excellent U-values and supporting the high-performance building standards their clients expect. We’re really enjoying working together and look forward to developing this relationship further.”

Fraser Stewart, operations director at HebHomes, added, “We view the Sigma II system not just as a product, but as part of the future of efficient, low carbon construction, something that aligns closely with our long-term vision as a business. The greatest benefit has been the strength of the partnership. Donaldson Timber Systems has a highly experienced and approachable team, and there is always a sense of collaboration and support throughout the process, from early technical coordination through to delivery on site. This has made them a valuable partner in delivering high quality, sustainable homes for our clients.”
