CRUDEN Homes has started work on a new 90-home development at Kirkton Road in Neilston.
The project will comprise 66 homes for sale in a mix of three and four-bedroom terraced, semi-detached and detached styles. A further 24 properties will be designated as affordable housing.
Work is underway to prepare the site for the main construction programme and will continue over the coming months. The first timber kits are expected to arrive on site early next year, with the first homes tipped for completion next summer.
The development will also feature new tree planting, sustainable drainage features, and walking routes connecting the site with surrounding green space.
Cruden revealed that the homes will boast energy-efficient features, including air-source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging provision. The plans also recognise the local significance of the historic standing stone within the site. During groundworks, this stone will be carefully removed and later reinstated as a feature within the development.
