CLYDE Gateway is taking a proposed 140-room hotel project in Glasgow’s east end to the UK investment market as it seeks a development and operating partner to deliver the next major phase of Dalmarnock’s regeneration.
The organisation will showcase the CityWorks opportunity at this week’s Annual Hospitality Conference (AHC) in Manchester, presenting the project directly to hotel investors, developers and operators from across the UK.
Located adjacent to Dalmarnock railway station, CityWorks would provide a new destination at the heart of the Clyde Gateway Innovation area. Independent analysis undertaken by AR Hospitality Consulting and Savills identified a ‘compelling’ market opportunity for a branded upper-midscale hotel.
The proposed hotel would be less than a minute’s walk from Dalmarnock station, providing direct rail access to Glasgow city centre, the OVO Hydro and Scottish Event Campus, whilst Celtic Park, Glasgow Green and the Glasgow International Arena are also within walking distance.

“We once thought a hotel might be one of the first developments here. Instead, CityWorks is set to become the final piece of the Dalmarnock jigsaw, connecting a growing business and innovation destination with the homes, amenities and world-class sporting and entertainment venues already on its doorstep.”
