NORTHWOOD Edinburgh, which provides lettings, estate agency, and property management services across the city and the Lothians, has relocated to a larger office in Leith following a period of growth.
The move marks a milestone for the franchise business as its team expands to 18 staff. The new base, located at 16-1 Timber Bush, brings the combined Stockbridge and Leith teams under one roof. Northwood will continue to operate a smaller staff presence from its Stockbridge office.
Lewis Mallen, MD of Northwood Edinburgh, said, “We’ve now outgrown both of our existing offices, so moving into a larger space in Leith allows us to bring the team together under one roof, which is a big step forward for our team ethos. Having everyone in one place helps us build on the positive momentum we’ve created, while also making it easier for contractors and partners to work with us. Leith is a vibrant, well-connected part of the city, and it feels like the right fit for where we are as a business.

One of the key factors of Northwood Edinburgh’s recent expansion has been the development of its estate agency sales function, supported by a partnership with Sales Geek Scotland, which delivers sales leadership, training, mentoring, and consultancy to businesses across the country. What began as targeted one-to-one training gradually developed into a broader programme led by Sales Geek Scotland, supporting improvements across Northwood Edinburgh’s sales processes, recruitment, reporting structures and lead management.
“Working with Sales Geek Scotland, led by co-director Davie Sneddon, has helped us strengthen our approach to recruitment, structure and processes across the sales function,” added Lewis. “They’ve helped us introduce clearer reporting and ways of working that have made a real difference day to day. It’s had a broader impact than we initially expected and has supported the progress we’ve made as a team.”
Northwood Edinburgh’s estate agency arm has risen from 3% to around 10% of total business revenue, with lettings continuing to operate strongly with 700 managed properties.
