THE Lighthouse Charity has been nominated as the front of shirt sponsor for Plymouth Argyle’s men’s third kit for this season.

Classic Builders, front of shirt sponsors and long-term supporters of both Argyle and the construction charity, seized the opportunity to share the limelight with their chosen charity. The Lighthouse Charity name and logo will adorn the front of the shirt for the duration of the 2026/27 Sky Bet League One season.

Lighthouse Charity provides support to the UK and Ireland construction community, covering all aspects of emotional, physical and financial wellbeing. This support is delivered through a free and confidential 24/7 helpline and online chat service as well as through a free Lighthouse Charity app. The charity’s #MakeItVisible team visits sites across the country, sharing their own experiences and tackling the stigma of starting a conversation and creating a safe space for people to talk.

Classic Builders is a building firm that operates throughout the south west and is led by four Plymouth Argyle fans: Fred Bennetton, Adam Brimacombe, Darren Wills, and Jason Battle. The company has also been a supporter of the Lighthouse Charity South West region for a number of years.

Director Fred Bennetton said, “We’re absolutely delighted to return as front-of-shirt sponsors of Plymouth Argyle and we immediately wanted to use this opportunity to give something back to our community and our long-standing charity partner, the Lighthouse Charity.

“I started in construction as an apprentice bricklayer in 1986 and it’s an amazing industry to work in. It also has its challenges so we wanted to raise awareness of the Lighthouse Charity and the fantastic work they do to support our workforce. Being in the position of being able to give something back to our community makes us incredibly proud and emotional and our amazing relationship with the Lighthouse Charity means that we are helping to change and save lives. Seeing our name on the home shirts still brings a lump to my throat, and now seeing the Lighthouse Charity’s name on the third kit shirts is the equivalent of lifting a trophy for us.”

The third kit was worn for the first time by the ‘Pilgrims’ on Saturday 22nd August in their away match to Wycombe Wanderers, which resulted in a draw after Argyle took an early lead.

Sarah Bolton, CEO of the Lighthouse Charity, added, “We’re absolutely delighted that our charity has been nominated as Argyle’s third kit shirt sponsor. This amazing opportunity has been made possible by our long term supporters, Classic Builders who have been incredibly generous in shining a spotlight on the Lighthouse Charity and the work we do to support our construction community. Football connects people, especially within construction, so seeing our logo and charity name front and centre on the shirts is a very proud moment for us.”
