CRUDEN Homes has secured a new residential development site in Bathgate, with plans to deliver 103 new homes subject to planning consent.

The housebuilder has a contract in place to acquire the site from Richardson, which has real estate interests throughout the UK as part of their global business portfolio.

The planned acquisition will unlock a long-standing brownfield site for new homes. Cruden intends to bring forward a development of homes for private sale, comprising a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom terraced, semi-detached and detached homes designed to respond to demand in the West Lothian market.

The site overlooks Bathgate Golf Club and is bordered by mature landscaping. The project will build on Cruden’s presence in West Lothian and represents its fourth live planning application in the local authority area.

Andrew Duncan, land director at Cruden Homes, said, “Securing this fantastic site in Bathgate is an important milestone for Cruden Homes and a strong addition to our private-sale pipeline. The site offers a rare opportunity to bring vacant brownfield land back into productive use and to create a high-quality new residential development that makes a positive contribution to Bathgate.”

Subject to the necessary planning approvals, Cruden intends to progress proposals for the site over the coming months.
