Conquip Engineering Group targets Scottish growth after opening new Livingston base

Conquip Engineering Group customer conversation

CONQUIP Engineering Group is targeting growth in Scotland after opening a new base in Livingston.

The firm specialises in design-engineering and manufacturing equipment ranging from trench shoring and site management kit through to concrete skips and excavator and forklift attachments.

The business was founded over 20 years ago and says its mission is to help contractors and their supply chains to build ‘smarter, safer, cleaner, and more efficiently’.

The Livingston location – Conquip’s eighth UK site – is seen as a natural step for the business, whose teams have been working with contractors across Scotland for many years on projects including groundworks, civils, utilities, built environment, and infrastructure.

Heading up the Livingston operation is a dedicated team along with Scotland area manager Jasper James.

Conquip partners with groundworks and civils contractors on major projects and bids for deep excavations, providing project sequencing, methodology reviews, piled wall and geotechnical design analysis, CAT 3 checks and equipment including temporary propping and hydraulic braces. The firm also assists on planned utilities and infrastructure works, beginning with in-house design packages for standard and bespoke excavation solutions, CAT 3 checks and equipment including box systems, hydraulic braces and walers.

Furthermore, Conquip engages with utilities contractors on emergency works by providing a 24-hour design turnaround and a national hire service for box systems, hydraulic braces, and walers.

When contractors are submitting bids and specifying or installing equipment, temporary works engineers can find all the required technical documents, Revit and BIM files on Conquip’s website in the technical library section.

Jasper James, area manager for Scotland, said, “Whether you’re planning ahead or need equipment for groundworks sites at short notice, our team is ready to help. Stock levels are healthy, allowing us to support even more projects across Scotland. Our HIAB truck is available, providing efficient and reliable deliveries direct to site.”
