MODULEK has completed the delivery of a new private aviation terminal at Glasgow Airport on behalf of Signature Aviation.
The terminal will provide a ‘premium gateway experience’ for business and private aviation passengers travelling into Scotland.
Appointed following a competitive design-and-build tender process against three other organisations, Modulek’s in-house design team developed a concept that combined premium hospitality, operational functionality, and the strict security requirements associated with a live airport environment.
The completed terminal delivers approximately 433 square metres of premium passenger and operational space and forms part of Signature Aviation’s continued global investment programme across key international aviation hubs.
Designed to elevate the passenger experience from the moment of arrival, the new facility includes a covered passenger drop-off zone, luxury waiting lounges, VIP facilities, meeting spaces, passenger shower facilities, dedicated security screening areas, and staff accommodation.
One of the key architectural features of the building is the double-height vaulted reception space, designed to create a spacious and welcoming arrival experience for passengers entering the terminal.
As part of the airport boundary, the project required careful coordination between architectural design, airport operations, and aviation security requirements throughout the design and construction process.
Dorset-based Modulek acted as principal contractor for the project, delivering the full turnkey solution including architectural design, off-site modular manufacture, groundworks, installation, internal fit-out, and external works.
