CAMPSIE Memorial Hall in Lennoxtown has reopened following a multi-million-pound renovation.
hub West Scotland led the development on behalf of East Dunbartonshire Council, with Linear Design & Construct as main contractor.
East Dunbartonshire Provost Gillian Renwick officially opened the venue following a near £2.3 million revitalisation project which finished on schedule earlier this year. The hall has now been handed over to the Campsie Memorial Hall Trust, who will manage the building.
The hall closed to the public in April 2025, with extensive internal and external works got underway the following month. Located on Main Street, the Victorian building, which dates from 1866, has been transformed into a facility that will accommodate several regular community groups and clubs, and serve as a venue for occasional events.
East Dunbartonshire Council leader Gordan Low said, “The opening of the new Campsie Memorial Hall is exciting news for Lennoxtown, and the wider area. This building has always held a special place in people’s hearts, and the improvements delivered by this project have breathed new life into the venue and will ensure that it is used to its full potential for many years to come.
“The Campsie Memorial Hall Revitalisation Project, alongside the Lennoxtown Main Street and Greenspace Projects, mark major investment in Lennoxtown by the council.”

This project is a vital community asset at the heart of the local community which has been modernised with improved energy efficiency and thermal comfort, flexibility and accessibility to provide an improved facility for the people of Lennoxtown.
