MUIR Construction has announced it was awarded more than £25 million of industrial and manufacturing work during the second quarter of 2026.
The latest projects span both the east and west of Scotland and include a mix of extensions to live manufacturing facilities alongside a new-build industrial project for Canmoor at Westway.
Muir revealed the business is increasingly being engaged at the earliest stages of project development, allowing the team to provide technical expertise, practical construction insight, and greater certainty from the outset.
To support demand for this collaborative approach, the firm has continued to invest in its in-house pre-construction capability. Working alongside clients, consultants and design teams, the expanding team helps shape projects through value engineering, programme planning, buildability reviews, and benchmarking.
David Fairweather, business development director at Muir Construction, explained, “Clients are increasingly looking for more than a contractor — they want a delivery partner that can add value from the earliest stages of a project. By engaging early, we’re able to draw on the experience we’ve gained delivering more than one million square feet of industrial space over the past five years, using real project knowledge to benchmark solutions, challenge assumptions and identify opportunities before designs are fixed.
