GENSOURCE, the Musselburgh-based sustainable energy specialist, will be exhibiting at this year’s Royal Highland Show for the first time.

The annual event showcasing the best of food, farming and rural life begins at Ingliston this week and members of the Gensource team will be on hand to provide technical and commercial insights as the firm showcases its range of renewable energy and EV charging solutions tailored to rural and commercial sites.

Staff will advise on early‑stage guidance on project feasibility for solar, battery and EV charging, and provide information on available funding and support mechanisms such as the Rural and Island Infrastructure fund which supports the public EV charging infrastructure.

The business will also demonstrate how energy infrastructure can support diversification, particularly in areas like agri‑tourism.

Gensource co-founder and commercial director Robert Wilson said, “We are very much looking forward to exhibiting at the Royal Highland Show for the first time. We have attended smaller agricultural shows in Fife and East Lothian but this is a major fixture on the rural event calendar in Scotland and we are excited to be part of it.

“We will have engineers and delivery specialists on hand along with team members with experience working on rural and estate‑based projects. It will be great to engage directly with landowners, estates and businesses to explore how on‑site energy generation and infrastructure can help reduce costs, improve sustainability and future‑proof operations.

“It is going to be an opportunity to provide direct, face‑to‑face advice to businesses that may not otherwise engage with the sector and will help us raise awareness of practical, commercially viable energy solutions.”
