THE Scottish Building Federation (SBF) has announced a restructuring of its membership subscription rates in a bid to simplify the fee process and provide a level of financial support to construction companies.
The move has been accompanied by an offer for any organisation working in construction to try out six months of membership for the price of just four months, which could now be as little as £215.
The SBF said the changes reflect the trade body’s commitment to supporting businesses as they adapt to the evolving needs of the industry.
The core of the update is a more streamlined approach to corporate membership.
The previous 12-tier subscription system has been reduced to nine turnover bands. The Federation confirmed fees have been frozen for bands A and B – which cover smaller businesses – while further benefit is derived from turnover thresholds increasing. For members in the new bands C to I, subscription fees have reduced by 35%.
MD Paul Mitchell said, “Our goal is to make sure that the Federation remains relevant and accessible to the businesses we represent. By simplifying our banding and introducing significant fee reductions for the majority of our members, we are directly responding to the economic pressures facing the industry.
“We know that our members get great value for their investment from our vital work in delivering direct business support services, training, networking opportunities and lobbying. That is why we are also including this introductory offer to new members of six months’ membership for the price of four, letting them sample the support we can provide.”
SBF added that it continues to offer a suite of benefits designed to help organisations grow. Members gain access to an exclusive online portal containing templates, human resources policies and health and safety documentation.
