Doig+Smith lands place on Government Construction Professional Services framework

DOIG+Smith has been appointed as a supplier to the Government Commercial Agency’s (GCA) RM 6356 Construction Professional Services 2 framework.

The firm has been awarded positions on Lot 3 – project management and Lot 4 – commercial management, enabling it to deliver a comprehensive range of services to public sector clients.

The RM6356 framework provides a route for central government departments and the wider UK public sector – including local authorities, healthcare, education, and emergency services- to access high-quality construction professional services. Running from April 2026 to April 2030, the four-year framework has been established under the Procurement Act 2023 to ensure robust, compliant procurement practices.

Lot 3 enables contracting authorities to access experienced professionals capable of leading complex construction projects, while Lot 4 provides specialist commercial management support to ensure financial efficiency, contractual compliance, and value for money across project lifecycles.

Doig+Smith will deliver services across the UK in collaboration with partners, Pulse Consult in England and Rainey & Best in Northern Ireland, ensuring nationwide capability and local insight.

Through these appointments, Doig+Smith will support programme and project management, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, and provide expertise in cost and programme control, risk management, and governance aligned with legislation, industry standards and best practice.

Fraser McQuarrie, CEO of Doig+Smith, said, “This appointment is a significant achievement for Doig+Smith and reflects both our heritage and our continued commitment to delivering excellence across the public sector. Securing places on both project and commercial management Lots demonstrates the depth of our expertise and the strength of our people.

“As a business with a long-standing track record in supporting complex projects, we are proud to bring our experience to this framework and to play a role in shaping successful outcomes for public sector clients across the UK.

“Doig+Smith looks forward to working with new and existing clients to deliver positive outcomes in both project and commercial management through this framework.”
