BakerHicks, the multi-disciplinary design, engineering and project delivery company, is celebrating after being appointed to the Scotland Excel Engineering and Technical Consultancy Framework to support the delivery of infrastructure projects worth up to £160 million.
The renewed four-year framework provides all 32 Scottish local authorities and more than 90 eligible public bodies with access to engineering and technical consultancy support.
BakerHicks said its appointment to Lot 1 (Roads and Structures Engineering and Technical Related Consultancy Services) reflects its capability and expertise across highway design, roads, bridges, structures, drainage, earthworks, active travel and public realm projects.
The business has also secured a place on Lot 6 (Geoenvironmental and Geotechnical Engineering and Technical Related Consultancy Services) to provide support in geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering, including ground investigation, slope assessment, sampling and testing, interpretation and reporting.
“This appointment reflects BakerHicks’ strong track record in delivering high quality highways, structures and geotechnical projects,” said Samer Ali, director for transportation at BakerHicks. “With our local office in Motherwell, backed by our multi-disciplinary teams across the UK, we’re well placed to support councils and public sector partners across Scotland.
“We’re looking forward to contributing to infrastructure projects that improve connectivity, accessibility and long-term value for local communities.”
