Plans approved for almost 100 new homes in Winchburgh

Housebuilding site in Winchburgh

A new development in Winchburgh will see almost 100 homes built within a short walk of the town centre.

The West Lothian community, which is set to grow from a population of 6,500 to 14,500 in the next decade, will see Miller Homes continue its work there, with planning permission approved for 98 homes of three, four and five bedrooms as well as a series of new roads and landscaping adjacent to Beatlie Bridge.

John Hamilton, CEO of Winchburgh Developments Ltd (WDL), which leads the masterplan for Winchburgh, said, “We are delighted to welcome back Miller Homes to develop a key area in Winchburgh and establish high-quality housing. Developing this site represents an excellent opportunity to create a beautiful neighbourhood in the north-east part of the community, which is close to the emerging town centre that boasts Winchburgh Marina at its heart.”

Arthur Mann, regional land director for Miller Homes Scotland West, added, “The acquisition of this land represents a significant opportunity to support the continued growth of the West Lothian community and marks an important step in the delivery of a high-quality neighbourhood for future residents.

“West Lothian continues to grow in popularity with homebuyers, offering the benefits of strong local amenities alongside convenient access to nearby cities. Through this development, we look forward to delivering our energy-efficient homes in a location that provides an excellent balance of connectivity, community and a strong lifestyle for families.”
