BUSINESSES are being invited to register their interest in new flexible units being developed at Golspie Business Park.
Morrison Construction is building the units on behalf of Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), with completion due later this year.
HIE designed and built Golspie Business Park in the 1990s, initially creating nine development plots on site. In recent years it has evolved into a small hub of businesses that support the Golspie and wider Sutherland economy.
This latest development will offer flexible and affordable business premises that lend themselves to different commercial requirements. There will be two office units at 55 square metres each, two light industrial units at 95 square metres and a larger industrial unit 195 square metres. Each of these can be adapted to suit different needs.
The Golspie units form part of wider investment by HIE in developing flexible business units in rural areas.
HIE’s area manager for Caithness and Sutherland, Eann Sinclair, said, “Modern, flexible premises are vital to enable local businesses to grow and to attract new businesses into the area. We’ve worked hard to bring forward this programme of work for Golspie Business Park, and I’m delighted to see construction under way.
