MORRIS & Spottiswood Group is delivering an office fit-out project valued at more than £5 million at Seafield House in Aberdeen, on behalf of global real estate investment manager Kennedy Wilson.
Kennedy Wilson, landlord of the multi-storey building, appointed the firm to provide a refurbishment of a full floor within the facility as well as CAT B fit-out works for incoming tenant Apache, a company known for its North Sea operations.
With other floors in the building fully occupied, the project requires careful coordination and delivery within a highly constrained programme. The works are due to complete in July.
Morris & Spottiswood will deliver the flooring and specialist joinery packages, while the group’s M&E specialist business, Livingston Building Services, will undertake all mechanical and electrical works.
In addition to the contract works, the incoming tenant has awarded works valued at approximately £700,000 to Inspire Spaces, another Morris & Spottiswood Group business, for furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) provision.
Paul Beaton, development director at Morris & Spottiswood, said, “This is a fast-paced project within a prominent Aberdeen office building, being delivered to a demanding programme. Working in partnership with Kennedy Wilson, we are bringing together our specialist expertise from across the group to complete high-quality workspaces within a live, multi-occupied environment.”
Richard Woods, director at Halliday Fraser Munro chartered architects and planning consultants, added, “We’re delighted to be working with Apache again as they establish their new office at H1. The project takes a refurbished building and reshapes it into a flexible, efficient workspace that better supports collaboration and day-to-day working. We look forward to partnering with Morris & Spottiswood to deliver the fit-out over the coming months.”
