ABERDEENSHIRE-based Kirkwood Timber Frame has appointed Dyke McKenzie as the company’s new business development manager.
He brings over 30 years of experience to the role, having worked in various positions within the sector, beginning his career in manufacture before moving into sales and business development roles. Dyke has supported businesses working across the housing, health care and education sectors – including around the development of student accommodation.
“I’m excited to join Kirkwood Timber Frame and look forward to supporting the team by getting out there, building relationships and using my knowledge, experience and contacts to help the business grow,” he said. “Despite the construction industry experiencing a difficult period at present, there is huge potential in the timber frame sector. I believe that Kirkwood has positioned itself well to capitalise on this opportunity.”
Kirkwood Timber Frame manufactures timber frame systems for developers, contractors, housing associations, private and public institutions, and self-build customers. The company explained that its FastBuild products help speed up build programmes.
MD Malcolm Thomson added, “I’m sure Dyke will be a great addition to our business. He is an experienced and results driven business development manager with an exceptional track record in developing new client business and strategies for growth.”
