Former Rolls-Royce site in East Kilbride industrial estate

THE former Rolls-Royce site in East Kilbride is being marketed as a ‘significant redevelopment opportunity’ for residential or commercial use.

Occupying a spot on the northern edge of the Nerston Industrial Estate, the site extends to 10.5 acres and, according to Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, offers considerable flexibility for redevelopment.

The site fronts onto Law Place to the north, with residential development located immediately to the east and industrial premises situated to the south and west, creating a mixed-use setting suitable for a range of future uses.

Adam Honeyman, partner at Shepherd, said, “The site is currently zoned for redevelopment within Use Classes 5 and 6, covering general industrial and storage and distribution uses, although it may also be suitable for residential redevelopment, subject to securing the appropriate planning consents.

“Given the site’s strategic location, strong transport connectivity and proximity to a large residential population, we anticipate significant interest from developers and owner-occupiers alike. We are seeking unconditional bids from interested parties, with preference given to offers that can demonstrate immediate availability of funds from cash reserves.”
