DOUGALL Baillie Associates (DBA) has raised £2,800 for Beatson Cancer Charity through its annual quiz night and March March steps challenge.
Around 120 colleagues, friends, and supporters packed Revolution bar in Glasgow’s Mitchell Street last week for DBA’s quiz night which, after a closely contested battle of wits, was won by a team from Stirling-headquartered Bracewell Architects.
The quiz fundraising was boosted by the conclusion of DBA’s 2026 March March steps challenge. The initiative involved over four weeks of walking, with 27 participants collectively clocking up nearly 9.5 million steps.
The fight for the top spot was competitive, with colleagues Sean Purves and Stephen Laird both smashing the one‑million‑step mark – averaging an extraordinary 36,000 plus steps a day!
Third place went to Errin Hendry‑Giles, who secured the bronze boot in style by completing the West Highland Way during the final week of the challenge. In a further generous gesture, Sean Purves donated the entire March March prize pot to the Beatson Cancer Charity.

The funds raised will go directly to the Beatson Cancer Charity, which provides vital support services and facilities for cancer patients and their families across the west of Scotland.
