Contractor opens new office in Cumbria to serve civils and building divisions

New GRAHAM office in Cumbria

GRAHAM has opened a new office in Cumbria, which will be utilised by the contractor’s civil engineering and building divisions.

Located at the Phoenix Enterprise Centre in Cleator Moor, the new site is designed to enable the teams to better support the delivery of nuclear infrastructure projects across the north west.

Alastair Lewis, contracts director at GRAHAM, will lead the Cumbria-based team. He said, “With 15 years of experience delivering nuclear and defence projects in Cumbria, GRAHAM is well established and has developed the expertise needed to support this growing market. The office allows us to provide a better working and meeting space, which will support our current projects and work-winning functions.

“Establishing a presence here was a natural next step for us. We’re already working in the area, and this move allows us to have boots on the ground, creating local jobs for local people. It ensures we’re well-positioned to deliver the infrastructure and building projects that these communities genuinely need.”

The office opening follows a number of large project wins in the region. This includes being appointed to deliver infrastructure works at the Low Level Waste Repository site in Drigg in Cumbria, which will see the GRAHAM team on-site until summer 2029.
