CCG Group is investing £500,000 in its PVCu window and door manufacturing operations in Glasgow.

The 10,000 sq ft glazing facility opened its doors earlier this year and has enhanced the operations of the PVCu subdivision of group subsidiary, CCG Manufacturing, by providing additional production space designed to optimise workflow and efficiency in the fabrication of PVCu windows, doors, and composite door sets.

CCG explained the investment has also helped facilitate the creation of traineeships, with four new starts joining over 30 operatives deployed across the firm’s three manufacturing hubs in Cambuslang.

CCG Manufacturing has undergone continuous expansion since 2019, with annual output of PVCu windows and composite door sets now exceeding 25,000 units. The business also has a separate fabrication hub specialising in engineered timber fire door sets, with 11,000 units manufactured annually.

These products support projects delivered by CCG across Scotland’s central belt, including new-build housing developments, care homes, and planned maintenance workstreams.

David Wylie, CCG (Scotland) MD, said, “Ongoing investment in our facilities, technology and processes is central to CCG’s long-term strategy and reflects our commitment to continuous improvement across our group of companies. Strengthening our manufacturing capability in both product and people will ensure we can support the evolving needs of our construction, maintenance and development activities while maintaining the high standards of quality and reliability that our clients expect.”

Stuart Glen, CCG Manufacturing PVCu factory manager, added, “I am delighted with this expansion. Our PVCu factory was already one of the most advanced of its kind in Scotland, and this additional space is now helping to drive efficiencies during one of our busiest years on record for both new-build construction and planned maintenance contracts. The ability to create jobs is also a testament to the group’s wider philosophy of training and development, and I look forward to working with our team in the year ahead.”
