CAMPION Homes has completed the build of 25 new homes in Meigle as part of its long-term partnership with Kingdom Housing Association (KHA).
The development comprises a mix of two and three-bedroom family houses, two-bedroom cottage flats, plus amenity and wheelchair bungalows. All properties have been designed to meet KHA’s specific design standards, Housing for Varying Needs, and have also achieved Building Control’s Bronze Standard of sustainability.
The properties form part of Campion Homes’ Strathmore Meadows private development which offers a range of two to six-bedroom homes.
KHA has around 7,000 homes across Perth & Kinross, Fife, Falkirk, and Clackmannanshire. Campion Homes has worked with the organisation over the last 35 years to deliver over 1,800 affordable homes across east-central Scotland. Recent sites in Leuchars and Pittenweem are shortlisted for Social Housing Development of the Year at the Scottish Home Awards.
Dougie Herd, joint MD at Campion Homes, said, “We are proud to partner with Kingdom Housing Association to deliver these much needed homes in Perth & Kinross. This longstanding partnership has provided thousands of families with a place to call home and its importance continues to this day with several live sites across the area.
“Meigle is a quiet rural village but with great amenities and a primary school. These affordable homes will be suitable for a varying range of housing needs and I look forward to seeing households enjoying living in their new home.”
Sean Whittet, of Kingdom Housing Association, added, “At Kingdom, we’re dedicated to delivering affordable, sustainable and well-designed homes that will help to tackle the housing shortage and boost local communities. Building on our long established partnership with Campion Homes, we were able to provide much needed homes in a rural area. We are excited to see the positive impact the new homes will have for those living in them and to the wider village.”
