CCG (Scotland) in partnership with Northcare (Scotland) has started construction of a 60-bedroom care residence in South Queensferry, which is set to open next year.
The development marks the introduction of the Northcare brand to the area – bringing a new standard of care described as blending ‘exceptional clinical expertise with a truly hospitality-led living experience’.
South Queensferry Manor will offer private en-suite bedrooms, providing residential, nursing and dementia care within an environment designed around comfort, dignity and everyday living.
The residence has been designed to feel like home. Residents will benefit from a range of lifestyle amenities including a private cinema, hair and beauty salon, brasserie and landscaped gardens.
Northcare (Scotland) said, “At Northcare, we believe care should feel like family. This development is another step forward in delivering on that – creating a home where people feel safe, valued, and truly at ease, while receiving the highest standards of care. South Queensferry is a fantastic community, and we’re proud to be bringing our model of luxury later living here. This is about raising expectations of what care can look and feel like.”
David Wylie, MD of CCG (Scotland), added, “The start on site at South Queensferry is an important milestone for CCG and signals the beginning of a valued new relationship with Northcare Scotland. With over 500 private care beds delivered over the past nine years, we understand both the technical demands and the social responsibility that come with building high-quality care environments.
“This development will enhance care provision in the local area while also supporting jobs and economic growth. We look forward to progressing construction and delivering a residence that sets a new benchmark for luxury care in Edinburgh.”
