CCG Group has started a PVCu window replacement programme for Calvay Housing Association in the east end of Glasgow.
The £220,000 contract will see the firm install 248 of its own windows across 31 properties over a four-week period.
CCG’s PVCu windows are fabricated in Cambuslang, three miles from their point of installation in Barlanark. The firm utilises a PVCu profile supplied by REHAU UK to create each unit.
Secure by Design-accredited, each window is described as ‘impervious’ to weathering and completed with steel reinforcement, glazing and ironmongery before leaving the factory floor. The windows are then installed by CCG’s in-house planned maintenance division, Asset Management.
Calvay Housing Association said, “We’re delighted to partner with CCG to deliver high-quality PVCu windows that will improve the comfort, energy efficiency, and appearance of homes across our community. This investment reflects our ongoing commitment to enhancing our homes and delivering real, lasting benefits for our residents.”
CCG Asset Management manager Jim Cunningham added, “We are delighted to be bringing our supply-and-fit services to Calvay Housing Association for the very first time. Our one-stop-shop offering will ensure the association and their tenants receive both a high-quality product installation, as well as regular, proactive engagement during the time we are onsite.”
The contract was procured via Procurement for Housing (PfH) Scotland. PfH Scotland commercial manager Chris McGinn said, “We are delighted to be supporting Calvay in the delivery of such an important project. Our frameworks ensure that PfH Scotland Members achieve best possible value in an efficient and compliant manner, and our end-to-end service ensures that they receive all necessary support and guidance throughout the lifetime of the contract.
“I look forward to working closely with both Calvay and CCG during this project to ensure that the works are delivered to the highest possible standard.”
