BELLENDAINE and Caledonia Contracts have announced a merger that will create an £8 million turnover fit-out and refurbishment contractor operating across the UK.
The merged business will trade under the Caledonia Contracts name, combining the experience of the long-established Dundee-based contractor with the fresh approach and growing team at Bellendaine.
With offices in Dundee and Glasgow, the company will deliver projects nationwide across a range of sectors including office, retail, industrial, hospitality, public sector, higher education and defence.
As part of the merger, the business is relocating its Glasgow office to West Regent Street, strengthening its presence in the city’s commercial core. In Dundee, the company has also signed a new five-year lease on its existing 10,000 sq ft premises, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the region while retaining its headquarters and in-house joinery manufacturing capability.

The combined business will employ 25 staff and brings together the leadership teams of Gary Scott and Michael Harrison from Bellendaine and Stuart Todd and David Johnston from Caledonia Contracts.
Director Stuart Todd said, “Caledonia Contracts has built a strong reputation over nearly 30 years for delivering high-quality fit-out and refurbishment projects across the UK. Bringing the two businesses together allows us to build on that track record while creating new opportunities for growth, supported by a larger team and wider geographic presence.”
Director Gary Scott added, “This merger brings together two businesses that share the same values around quality, reliability and relationships. By combining our teams we are creating a strong platform for growth while maintaining the collaborative approach and high standards both companies are known for.”

The merged company works with a range of clients including Old Course Hotel, Indigo Sun, Turner & Co, Abertay University and Global Mutual.
Looking ahead, the leadership team aims to grow the business to £15 million turnover within the next three years, expand the team, and further strengthen its reputation as a trusted delivery partner in the UK fit-out and refurbishment market.
The transaction was supported by professional advisers on both sides, with Gilson Gray and Findlays Chartered Accountants acting for Caledonia Contracts, and McKee Campbell Morrison and Armstrong Watson advising for Bellendaine.
