Taylor Wimpey secures further planning consent for new Dunfermline homes

TAYLOR Wimpey East Scotland has secured an Approval of Matters Specified in Conditions (AMSC) detailed planning consent from Fife Council for a further 219 homes as part of Phase One of its Whitefields development in Dunfermline.

This paves the way for the delivery of Whitefield Gate – the second development within the wider Whitefields masterplan. Whitefield Gate will introduce Taylor Wimpey’s new national house types to Fife for the first time and feature a mix of two, three, four, and five-bedroom homes.

The milestone comes ahead of the expected launch of the first new homes for sale next month at Whitefield Gardens, which is also part of the initial phase of the Whitefields neighbourhood. Construction is already in progress to deliver 68 new homes.

Whitefields will ultimately deliver around 1,400 new homes alongside a range of community benefits including a new primary school, shops, community facilities, green open spaces, two equipped play areas, an informal kick-about space, and improvements to local transport infrastructure.

Pauline Mills, technical director at Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, said, “We’re delighted to have secured an AMSC detailed planning consent for Whitefield Gate, which marks another important step forward in our vision for the Whitefields neighbourhood. This second development not only continues our investment in the area but also introduces our new national house types to Fife – giving homebuyers even more choice and flexibility when making their move to a new home.

“As Whitefields continues to take shape, we remain committed to delivering high-quality homes and creating a thriving, sustainable community that supports both new and existing residents in north Dunfermline.”
