MARSHALLS has become a Silver Sponsoring Partner of the charity Building Heroes from March 2026.
The supplier of hard landscaping, building, and roofing products will collaborate with the charity to create structured pathways for service leavers, veterans, reservists, and military family entering employment after service.
Building Heroes delivers short, intensive training with high-quality training provider partners and works with industry sponsors and supporters to provide employer engagement designed to translate military experience into recognised qualifications and job opportunities across construction, infrastructure and property maintenance.
For Marshalls, the partnership expands its social impact and charity work to include experienced individuals transitioning from military service, alongside its existing early careers initiatives – such as partnerships with colleges and training providers. The programme will also involve some localised fundraising activities and, as the partnership grows, potential for volunteering, mentoring and engagement opportunities for employees.

Recent Building Heroes graduates include former military engineers, logisticians, and technicians who have progressed into roles such as site supervisors, tradespeople and property maintenance operatives following training.
One recent graduate, Will, experienced exactly that transition after completing the programme. He said, “Building Heroes helped me turn military skills into a real civilian job. Without it, I wouldn’t have known where to start. The course showed me how what we learned in the military fits naturally into construction, and through their employer connections I moved straight from training onto site.”
