CALA Homes (West) has submitted a Proposal of Application Notice (PoAN) to Falkirk Council to kick off the formal stage in the planning process for a proposed new development in Larbert.
The housebuilder hopes to deliver an extension to the existing community at the 14.5-acre site located just off Bellsdyke Road. The plans include a mix of private and affordable homes.
The development would form part of the final phase of a 2001 agreement between the NHS, Cala and Persimmon Homes. This has seen the delivery of almost 1,700 homes as part of the Hill of Kinnaird Masterplan Area.
Green spaces will form a key feature of the site, alongside a new roundabout and spine road.
As part of the pre-application process, Cala is inviting members of the local community to attend two public consultation events to view proposals and share feedback. The events will take place from 2pm-7pm on Wednesday 25 March at Dobbie Hall, Stenhousemuir; and 2pm–7pm on Wednesday 29 April at the same location.
Michael Clements, land manager at Cala Homes (West), said, “The submission of the Proposal of Application Notice represents an important milestone for our plans in Larbert. We look forward to engaging with the local community throughout the consultation process, and feedback from residents will play a vital role in shaping the final planning application.
“Larbert continues to be a highly sought-after location, offering strong transport connections to Glasgow and Edinburgh, excellent local schools and easy access to scenic woodland walks in the surrounding countryside.”
