A Glasgow charity that supports vulnerable children has received an incredible £167,000 donation from Barratt Homes West Scotland.
Launch Foods has said the cash will transform the scale and scope of its services, helping to feed and deliver food packages for more vulnerable young people.
Barratt Homes West Scotland and its suppliers, contractors, business partners and guests raised funds for its charity of the year at an annual dinner and awards evening in February.
The £167,000 donation will finance Launch Foods’ entire year of operations, enabling it to continue providing vital food support to those affected by poverty and food insecurity.
Craig Johnson of Launch Foods said, “We are absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity shown by Barratt Homes West Scotland and everyone involved in the charity dinner. As a small charity, this level of support is transformational. The £167,000 raised will fund all of our work for the coming year, allowing us to continue supporting local children and families who rely on our services.
“This donation gives us security and the ability to plan ahead, expand our reach and focus on what matters most which is making sure children across Glasgow have access to the food and support they need to thrive.”
Launch Foods works within schools and communities to ensure children have access to nutritious meals and support when they need it most.
