PROPERTY factor Taylor & Martin has expanded into Aberdeen after securing a 300-home development in the city’s west end.

The firm has opened its third office in Westhill as it moves to provide national coverage across Scotland. Taylor & Martin already has offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow, as well as a presence in Dundee, Inverness, and Elgin.

The expansion follows its appointment at Kepplestone, a residential development in the west of Aberdeen comprising around 300 properties. This takes the company’s portfolio to more than 17,000 flats across the country – with developments ranging from modern apartments to traditional tenements.

Michael Martin, who co-founded Taylor & Martin in 2013 alongside Marc Taylor, said, “It’s brilliant to have a physical presence in Aberdeen and to have built a team there.  We’ve long wanted to grow into the north of Scotland, and now is the right time strategically to make the move.

“Kepplestone gave us that opportunity. Clients actively wanted us to come to Aberdeen, which says a lot about the strength of word of mouth around our service quality. It’s a prestigious development and we’re proud to have been chosen above well-established factors in the area. We see this as bringing a genuine alternative to the Aberdeen market.”

Taylor & Martin operates on a flat management fee model rather than commission-based structures, which the business explained is designed to remove conflicts around contractor spend and provide transparency on costs for homeowners.

The Aberdeen office, which will serve clients across the wider north east, will be led by industry veteran Nic Mayall, long-standing employee David Jones, and local Rachel Craig, with plans to expand the team further in the coming months.
