TAYLOR Wimpey West Scotland has confirmed an Approval in Matters Specified (AMSC) detailed planning consent has been secured from Falkirk Council for its 155-home development of new homes in Polmont.
Construction work has started on The Laurels at Lathallan Grange, comprising 116 private properties and 39 affordable homes in a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom styles.
The milestone marks the conclusion of the Approval of Matters Specified in Conditions (AMSC) process, following the site’s earlier Planning Permission in Principle.
The Laurels at Lathallan Grange forms part of a wider masterplan that will eventually deliver around 500 homes, with 25% designated as affordable housing. It will also include a central park, wetland area, and a network of green spaces, play areas, and recreational facilities.
A ground source heat network is planned to provide low-carbon heating across the site, alongside enhancements such as hedgehog highways, bug hotels, bird boxes, and bee bricks to support local wildlife.
Martin Findlay, technical director at Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said, “Securing detailed planning consent is a major milestone in our journey to deliver a sustainable and well-connected new neighbourhood in Polmont. We’re proud to be investing in the local area, and with construction now underway, we are looking forward to bringing our vision to life.”
