Brodies expands Glasgow presence with additional office letting space

Office in Glasgow Queen Street

SCOTTISH law firm Brodies LLP has strengthened its presence in Glasgow with the letting of an additional 10,544 sq ft on the 7th floor (East) of 110 Queen Street.

The expansion increases the firm’s total footprint in the building to 36,374 sq ft, spanning two full floors, and follows Brodies’ recent commitment to a 10-year lease extension.

Stephen Goldie, managing partner at Brodies LLP, said, “Across all our offices, we provide modern, technically enabled spaces that support the wellbeing of our colleagues and the importance we place on collaboration. The expansion of our Glasgow office underlines those commitments, and our wider growth plans, ensuring that we can continue to provide our clients with the environment, as well as the quality of service, that they have grown to expect from our firm.”

Fergus Maclennan of Adapt Commercial Property, who represented the landlord, DWS Group, added, “We are thrilled to conclude our latest letting at 110 Queen Street — our fourth new office letting in the last 12 months, following recent deals with Clyde & Co LLP, WSP, and Hitachi Energy. 110 Queen Street remains one of the most sought-after office buildings in Glasgow City Centre. The quality of space in such a prominent location makes it hugely attractive to corporate occupiers seeking first-class office facilities.”

Since its completion in 2015, 110 Queen Street has maintained full occupancy. Existing occupiers include ACCA, NatWest, and Deloitte.

Martin Speirs, director at CBRE, said, “CBRE was pleased to advise Brodies on this strategic acquisition and its decision to increase its office footprint, which represents a long-term investment in its people and Glasgow City Centre. This move highlights the value organisations place on high-quality space and the role it plays in supporting collaboration, staff wellbeing and long-term success.”

Adapt Commercial Property are retained leasing agents at 110 Queen Street on behalf of DWS Group. CBRE represented Brodies LLP in this transaction.
