AKELA Ground Engineering has announced the appointment of Jon Goodman as contracts manager.
Jon has almost a decade of experience in contract management and engineering roles across the UK ground engineering sector. His career includes positions with Aarsleff Ground Engineering, Balfour Beatty Ground Engineering, Balfour Beatty plc, and Green Piling, where he has developed expertise in project delivery, client liaison, and operational performance.
Based at Akela Ground Engineering’s English base in Swadlincote, Jon will report directly to MD Will Payne and will oversee the delivery of specialist ground engineering projects from contract award through to completion. The firm revealed that a key part of his remit will be building strong client relationships, understanding project objectives, and providing responsive technical and commercial support to enhance the customer experience and secure repeat business.
The appointment comes as Akela Ground Engineering continues to expand its operations across the UK, following the launch of its ABeam precast system in 2024 and the establishment of its Irish base in Co. Armagh last year.
