TSL Contractors has marked the start of 2026 with the launch of a new business division: TSL Highland.
The division will provide construction and civil engineering services across sectors including social housing, energy and renewables, commercial buildings and industrial units in Inverness, Moray, Elgin and beyond.
TSL explained that the new venture will be based on the firm’s existing self-delivery model and core company values of ‘excellence, integrity, and collaborative working’ with clients and supply chain partners.
Neil Mackinlay has joined the business as regional director for TSL Highland to head up and develop this new branch. Neil has almost 20 years’ experience in the construction industry in the northern Highlands across a range of strategic and commercial roles. He has worked in sectors such as renewable industry infrastructure, housing, and commercial builds.
Neil will be supported by TSL’s existing senior leadership team and a new Inverness-based team. The company is currently in the process of securing new premises in Inverness.
MD Andy Knight said, “TSL Highland represents an exciting, long-term strategic opportunity for us, which has been some time in the planning, and we are delighted to see it reach fruition. Neil is an outstanding addition to the team and shares our passion for excellence and ensuring client satisfaction.
“His skillset, experience and knowledge of construction within the northern Highlands enhances the already considerable expertise of our team, placing us is a very strong position both to hit the ground running, and to develop and deliver our services in the long term to a broad client base within this area. We are looking forward to working with existing clients on forthcoming projects and to establishing productive and successful relationships with new clients and partners in the area.”
