Funding boost for Kingdom’s affordable homes ambitions

Affordable homes in Fife

KINGDOM Housing Association has secured £13 million of funding arranged by Allia C&C through its charitable bond programme in partnership with the Scottish Government.

The cash will boost the organisation’s ambition to deliver more affordable homes.

The charitable bond programme provides unsecured loans to housing associations for up to 15 years. The appeal of the scheme is that the interest on the loans provides grant funding that the Scottish Government allocates to support further social housing development, meaning the money stays within the sector.

Kingdom has previously benefited from the charitable bond scheme, most recently with a £5 million loan taken on in 2025.

Kingdom Group’s finance director Lesley Janes said, “This partnership helps us deliver much-needed new homes and play our part in tackling the housing emergency. We know the difference that high-quality, affordable housing makes for our customers and communities. The charitable bond loan funding from Allia C&C is an important part of financing our development programme and supports our ambition to do more.”
