Ex-Highland Theological College in Dingwall for sale as redevelopment opportunity

Dingwall town centre building

SHEPHERD Chartered Surveyors is marketing the former Highland Theological College in Dingwall town centre for sale as a redevelopment opportunity, with offers over £295,000 invited.

The B-Listed ornate stone building is arranged over basement, ground, first, and attic floors. To the rear of the main building is a glazed link corridor housing a stairwell and lift that connects to a two-storey extension of masonry construction with large, glazed curtain wall sections.

The property has most recently operated as the Highland Theological College campus. The original building – a former banking house – dates to 1835/6 and comprises a frontage of ashlar stone block in a five-bay design. The building occupies a level site of 0.60 acres.

There is a standalone one-and-a-half storey building of stone and slate construction positioned in the north east corner of the site within the rear car park. This building, currently used for storage purposes, is included in the sale.

Neil Calder, partner at Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, said, “Currently configured in line with its college use comprising a range of classrooms, offices, meeting rooms, library facilities, a conference room as well as welfare and storage facilities, this substantial building on a prominent corner site, offers redevelopment potential for a range of uses, including residential, subject to planning. As such, we anticipate much interest in this redevelopment opportunity.”
