CONSTRUCTION work has started on a new development of 49 affordable homes in Cupar.
Delivered for Kingdom Housing Association by Campion Homes, the project will deliver a mix of properties from one-bedroom bungalows to four-bedroom family houses. The development also includes accessible properties tailored for wheelchair users and older residents.
Connected to an existing Kingdom development, the new site will feature a green corridor of open space. Sustainability features include air source heat pumps and solar roof panels.
Dougie Herd, joint MD at Campion Homes, said, “At Campion Homes, we are proud to be recognised as a leader in affordable housing, having delivered nearly 2,800 high-quality homes across East Central Scotland. This new development in Cupar builds on more than three decades of expertise and a deep commitment to sustainability, innovation, and inclusivity.
“As a trusted family-owned business, collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. Working closely with Kingdom Housing Association, we are not only creating homes that meet and exceed industry standards, but also empowering communities and transforming lives.”
Tricia Hill, development and sustainability director at Kingdom Group, added, “Kingdom Housing Association is committed to building at least 300 new homes per year to help tackle the housing emergency in Scotland. To that end, it is really positive to see this new development start on site alongside our partner Campion Homes which will bring a diverse range of high-quality, affordable homes to an already thriving community in Cupar.”
