MACKENZIE Construction, in partnership with UAV365, has launched AquaVis 3D, which is described as a ‘first-to-market’ inspection service for live treated water environments.
The partnership combines Mackenzie’s decades of experience in the water sector and UAV365’s specialist capability in complex underwater inspection.
The service utilises underwater ROV technology with 3D scanning to deliver insight into treated water storage tanks without draining or disrupting operations.
By operating in live environments, AquaVis 3D is designed to remove the need for costly shutdowns and is said to ensure hygiene compliance throughout. This gives water utilities the opportunity to manage ageing assets, strengthen resilience, and plan ahead with confidence.
Mark Brown, structural refurbishment general manager at Mackenzie Construction, said, “AquaVis 3D is a game-changer for the water sector. For the first time, utilities can carry out advanced 3D inspections on live treated water tanks without compromising hygiene or service continuity. This innovation improves safety, reduces operational downtime, and sets a new benchmark for proactive asset management.”
Kieran Smith, operations director at UAV365, added, “Our technology is engineered to perform in challenging live treated water environments. AquaVis 3D captures precise, high-resolution data that enables utilities to move beyond reactive maintenance and make confident, evidence-based decisions for long-term infrastructure care.”
